Who Am I?

Hi! I'm Tristan Murrow - a St. Louis-born, Chicago based aspiring filmmaker and content creator who believes wholeheartedly in the power of storytelling. I'm currently on track to earn my B.A. in Film and Digital Media with a minor in English at Loyola University Chicago in May 2026, where I've spent the last 3 years of my life developing my passion for film production and editing.
What I've done: I am primarily an editor with extensive experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, but I have worked on countless short film sets throughout my time in school. Similarly, I have created content for and operated multiple successful social media accounts over the years - including a personal TikTok page that reached 22k followers and more than 1 million likes across all videos. As an active enjoyer of all kinds of social media, I understand the ins and outs of these platforms and what makes a valuable piece of content.
My skills transfer outside of the media world too though, as I have worked in event management and operations all throughout college as an orientation leader and peer instructor for Loyola, where I have now moved up to an administrative role. These positions have trained me extensively for conflict management, team-building, customer service, problem-solving, and so much more. Something fun people may not guess about me is that I perform comedy throughout the city of Chicago, both solo and with my improv team!
Where I've been: I spent two weeks at the Cannes Film Festival assisting in the operation of the American Pavilion while networking with filmmakers and students from across the world. Before that, I led 40 orientation leaders through multiple summers, guided hundreds of campus tours, and even managed to squeeze in a semester abroad in Rome where I shot a short film.
What you should remember: I'm a passionate, determined, energetic artist who simply loves to create, whether that be through a highly produced short film or a 15 second TikTok.
